COST ENGINEERS NEEDED

COST Engineers:Ref-CE002
Due to new projects we are looking to recruit a highly experienced Cost Engineer that would be responsible for creation, processing and management of cost information within an engineering, procurement & constructionproject environment.

JOB DUTIES:
The following duties are representative but do not necessarily represent all the duties the individual may be called upon to undertake within the cost analysis, evaluation and reporting areas.
1. Review and validate cost information submitted by contractors as part of ongoing contract claims resolution process.
2. Review contractors submitted change order requests and verify estimate, work scope, material quantities, specifications, terms & conditions of Contract.
3. Report on project cost/commitment, labor rate analysis and financial status as required
4. Prepare cost forecasts, invoice validations/evaluations, change orders (variation orders), and backcharges.
5. Participate in investigation of contractual claims/disputes for additional cost, perform testing of cost/expense validity, and summarize results.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess a B.Sc degree in Engineering obtained at a minimum of 2nd Class upper division from a reputable university.
• Holding a Certified Cost Engineer rating by the American Society of Cost Engineers (ASCE) or equivalent U.K. rating is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of hands on experience with a university technical degree or 12 years experience and a non-technical degree. Individuals with over 15 year's current experience with no formal degree may be considered.


JOB REQUIREMENT

• A very good knowledge of MS office suites
• Exceptional Knowledge of MS Excel is required.
• Ability to distill cost date and analysis into summary level management reports.
• Knowledge of computerized estimating and scheduling systems (example: Primavera and SAP (PM & MM)) is desired but not mandatory.
• Must be proficient in implementing and preparation of work plans.
• Also the candidate must have:
A commitment to working safely at all times.
The ability to work as part of a team and to effectively interact with senior management personnel and multiple cultures.
The successful candidate must be flexible, goal oriented, have strong personal skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work independently.
A current background working for owners or contractors in oil, gas or chemicals engineering and construction industry with specific duties including construction cost engineering.
