UBA Metropolitan Life Insurance Ltd established to form a strategic partnership between UBA Group Nigeria and Metropolitan Holdings Limited of South Africa seeks to engage personnel for immediate employment in the following positions: 1. Head, Human & Corporate Resources • Recruitment, selection and appointment of management and staff • Implement performance management process • Identify, evaluate, develop and implement programmes and coaching interventions to optimize human capital • Establish equitable labour relations and disciplinary practices in compliance with relevant legislation • Oversee functions related to staff benefits administration and manage relationships with suppliers • Corporate resources Functions: Administration and management of the company's fixed (non financial) assets, including fleet and insurance outsourced services Qualifications (Desirable} • Minimum HND/BSC in any relevant field. MSc or Professional qualification in relevant field is an added advantage • 8+ years relevant experience with at least 3 years managerial role in Human Resources within a structured environment. • Ability to Lead and coach a team; and interact with management team • Good experience in operations management, performance management. coaching and development of human capital • Solid experience in compensation strategies for a motivated workforce 2. Brand, Marketing Manager • Effective and appropriate positioning of Company's product and brand positioning through all external communications mediums. • Develop event management and competitions as incentives to recognize and reward Business Development staff. • Positively influence Business Development staff culture through internal communication. • Research of the competitive landscape to ensure alignment of product solutions with market Development and execution of appropriate training and development courses for Business Development's management and sales staff with specific emphases on product and sales training. • Manage and control an operational expense budget Qualification • Marketing related degree from a reputable university. Division Head - Bancassurance • Develop and implement a sales/marketing strategy for group and retail bancassurance that is aligned to the overall business development strategy of UBA Metropolitan Life Insurance • Develop and implement detailed action plans. in order to ensure delivery of strategy • Ensure bancassurance relationship management and operational efficiency e.g. premium collections and claims payment • Identify trends, opportunities, threats and environmental influences • Provide accurate and timely competitor updates/best practices • Identify and propose new product ideas for cross selling/bundling and unbundling • Supervise and manage Bancassurance executives and other marketing support staff Qualification • B.Sc [Insurance}, HND / any related field from a reputable university • Masters Degree in Marketing / related field will be an advantage. • Professional qualification in Insurance, Marketing • 7+ years post qualification experience at senior management position in insurance industry • Strategy conceptualization, design and implementation • Project management • High Level Networking and interpersonal skills • Leadership and innovation • Communication • Knowledge of business environment 4. Divisional Head – a Corporate Marketing b. Retail Marketing • Establishment/Development of insurance business relationship with corporate organizations and brokers • Development of the Unit's business plan • Development and implementation of the Unit's budget • Development of the Unit's marketing strategy for implementation of the budget • Recruitment, training, supervision, motivation, appraisal and managing the unit staff • Regular marketing report • Coordination of marketing sales activities of the unit Qualification • B. Sc (Insurance]. HND / any related field from a reputable university. • Masters Degree in marketing I related field will be an advantage. • Professional qualification in Insurance • Professional qualification in Marketing • 7+ years post qualification at senior management position in insurance industry 5. Product Sales Training Manager • Evaluate and make recommendations to the Management with regard to the skills level and competencies of the sales staff and training needs to ensure that the capacity created by the business solutions and applications are optimized through the people (productive use of assets). • Organize and conduct training workshops as and when required. • Research and develop training courses and training material for the company for products, sales, marketing and marketing management. • Provide input to the development and maintenance of all marketing material. • Organise marketing drives, launches, workshops and sales conferences. • Report to management With regard to marketing and training related matters. • Liaise with CllN and NAICOM on developmental needs/licences and certifications for Insurance Professionals Qualification • A relevant degree (first grade). • 5+ years experience in a sales training and marketing environment at a management position. • Business knowledge of the administrative processes used in individual life and group life insurance operations is an advantage. • Good communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to transfer knowledge in English • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills. • Business acumen, initiative, entrepreneurial ability and ability to operate in a team environment 6. Divisional Head – Eastern Operations and Northern Operations (2) Locations: Port Harcourt & Abuja • Lead strategy to grow the corporate and retail market including federal/state/local governments, parastatals. financial institutions • Identify gaps with the aim of delivering into the corporate space • Networking and relationship building with main players, including brokers, within the segment and financial services industry • Prepare and implement key corporate account development plans, relationship management and marketing/communication plans • Deliver segment profitability and ensure the strategy is consistent with Business Development plans • Draw up, manage and monitor the marketing expense budget for the region • Recruit. train and motivate high quality corporate and retail sales staff • Manage performance of subordinates. • Optimize premium production across the product ranges through Managers/Financial Planners in the region • Supports product marketing, market research and performs complex market analyses. • Research and build competitor intelligence Qualification/Years of experience • B.Sc. (Insurance}, HND / any related field from a reputable university.
