COMMISSION OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT A.3(1) DEPARTMENT: COMMUNICATIONS POST; PROGRAM OFFICER, WEB EDITOR REF: ECW-COMM/REC/PRES-P01/CON/2007 GRADE P3 (UA21, 566.67-25,99107) DUTIES: Collate and summarize information for the commissions' web sit Will be responsible for uploading and regularly updating the commissions web site Liaise with departmental focal points to generate information for the web site QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE/SKILLS A degree in Mass Communication. Humanities, Journalism or any related field. Five(5) years professional experience Possession of a higher degree will be an advantage. Possession of a higher degree will be an advantage A specialization in print, or news agency will b an advantage Training and aptitude for graphic design will be an advantage Experience in an international organization would be an added advantage Must be computer literate. A.3 (2) DEPARTMENT: COMMUNICATIONS POST: PROGRAM OFFICER, PUBLICATIONS REF:ECW-COMM/REC/PRES-POS2/COM/2007 DUTIES: Cover the commissions meetings and its activities Write briefs and reports the commissions activities, project and programs for publication in the commission. Liaise with departments in the commission to produce specialized thematic publication Responsible for the production of the quarterly West African bulletin in conjunction with the PPO and the Director. QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE/SKILLS A degree in Mass communication, the Humanities related field area. Five (5) years professional experience. Possession of a higher degree would be an advantage A specialization in journalism, print news agency would be an advantage Must be computer literate. A.3(3) DEPARTMENT: EXTERNAL RELATIONS POST DIRECTOR, EXTERNAL RELATIONS REF: ECW-COMM/REC/PRES-D01/ER/2007 GRADE: D1 (UA33,751.24-41, 932.74) DUTIES: Develop and implement an effective mechanism for the coordination of the commission's resource mobilization strategies in line with the commission strategic vision Develop a mechanism for the monitoring and coordination of resource mobilization with the commissions development partners in line with the directives of the president of the commission. Manage the commissions relations with relations with different stakeholders involved in the regional integration process and in the implementation of the commissions' programs. Develop and implement a machinery for the monitoring (on behalf of the president of the Commission) relations with civil society organizations QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS A Masters degree in Political Science, International Relations, Diplomacy or a related field. Twelve(12) years professional experience with five(5) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Possession of a higher degree would reduce the years of professional experience to ten (10) years with five (5) in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience and knowledge in diplomacy, and/or negotiations would be an advantage. Excellent communication skills Must be computer literate B. COMMISSION: OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT B (2) DEPARTMENT: COMMUNITY COMPUTER CENTER (CCC) POST; PROGRAM OFFICER TRAINING SERVICES REF: ECW-COMM/REC/VPRES-PO2/COCC/2007 GRADE: P3 (UA 21.566,67-25,991.07) DUTIES Carries out training needs analysis and prepares training proposal regarding Community systems and General IT software. Prepares and manages training materials. Facilities and documentation Implements and manages training programs, meetings and conferences. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS A degree in computer science or any related field. Five (5) years professional Experience in training design and implementation, including we-based systems development would be an advantage. Experience obtained in an international organization would be an advantage B.1(3) DEPARTMENT; COMMUNITY COMPUTER CENTRE (CCC) POST: PROGRAM OFFICER, INTERNET SRVICES MANAGER /WEBMASTER REF:ECW-COMM/REC/VPRES-P03/CCC/2007 GRADE: P3 (UA 21,566,67-25,991.07) DUTIES Responsible for the design, development and management of the Commission web sites Devise a mechanism for ensuring security and protection of the commissions web sites Devise a mechanism for the management of web servers and mail QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES/SKILLS A DEGREE IN Computer Science or any related field. Five (5) years of professional experience Experience in web site design and management would be an advantage Experience of web-based systems development would be an advantage. Experience of web site design software (Front Page, Web design .) protection and security of systems/servers (signature, firewall,) programming by HTML, JAVA, Pert, PHP, ASP, would be an advantage. | ||
