POSITION 1 Field Professional Associate – LWD

(Ref no:02@Halliburton_SSDS_Field Prof-/LWD, Assoc_PH)

Responsibilities:
- Under strict supervision, provides on-site supervision of the Logging While Drilling (LWD) process including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation and Quality Control (QC), and delivery of the services to the customer.
- Responsibilities are to learn the job role for the Measurement While Drilling/Logging While Drilling (LWD) service line.
- Serves as the third man in a subordinate role on most jobs; second man on select jobs.
- Provides technical and operational expertise to external customer in a professional manner.
- Performs assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering and measurement while drilling principles.
- Maintains equipment inventory and supervises movement to and from well site.
- Checks equipment and advises repair requirements.
- Maintains computer database for on-going jobs; prepares job ticket, daily reporting and end-of-well reports.
- Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization. Error is readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected.

Skills
- typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Geology or other technical discipline, or equivalent drilling/rig experience.
- Must have successfully passed company tests or met task guideline requirements.
- Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to standards required.
- Must possess good communication skills, arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
- Proven competency in computer software.
- Requires ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well-site data.
- Must possess relevant offshore certificates as required.

This is the entry-level position for the Measurement While Drilling/Logging While Drilling (LWD) job family. This is a field position. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.

POSITION 2 Technical Professional Associate – Well Design
(Ref no: 02@Halliburton_SSDS_Tech Prof-/Well, Assoc_PH)

Responsibilities:
- This is the entry-level position for Well Engineering.
- Performs assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles.
- Duties include assisting daily in updating of well plans and survey files; monitoring well paths and performing assigned tasks in checking anti-collision criteria, etc; Anti-collision, Torque and Drag, Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) analysis in both planning and drilling phases.
- Assists in the preparation of proposals, tenders, technical reports, etc. and any other assigned duties that will assist in the professional and efficient operation of the directional drilling office.
- Learns to operate the different software and systems used to plan wells. Performs specific and limited portions of assignments.
- At this level, assignments are generally well defined with clear and specified development objectives.

Skills typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Geology and no prior experience. Certification as an Engineer-in-Training is desirable.

Qualification(s): Must possess any of these engineering disciplines; Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Electronics, Chemistry and Physics from an accredited University and Polytechnic with a minimum of second class lower division (2.2) or Upper Credit. Candidates must have completed NYSC requirements. No post NYSC work experience is required as full training will be given
