A mapping and GIS company located in Lagos want to employ qualified
candidates to fill the following vacancies:
Field Surveyors MG0005 : Qualification: The right candidates must possess not less than
HND/BSc in Surveying & Geoinformatics with a minimum of Lower Credit/Second
Class Lower Division.
Duties: The candidates must be able to use GPS. He must be able to
collect data on field, process the data and make map with the data
with no supervision. Must be ready to travel to any part of the country.
Good knowledge of using Arcview GIS/ArcGIS software, AutoCAD and
Microsoft Offices. The candidates must be able to interprete imagery and carry
out field annotation and ground truthing with minimal supervision.
Qualities: must be a team player, work under pressure, possess
leadership quality, diligent and honest.
GIS Experts MG0006 : Qualification: The right candidates must possess not less than BSc
either in Surveying & Geoinformatics or Geography/Cartography with a
minimum of Second Class Lower Division and a Master in GIS.
Duties: The candidates must have good understanding of image
interpretation, analysis and feature extraction from imagery. Must have good
understanding of database development and management. Must have good
understanding of plotter usage in printing any map format. Must be ready
to combine fieldwork with the office work and also ready to travel to
any part of the country. A good knowledge of Arcview GIS/ArcGIS
Software, AutoCAD, ERDAS Imagine, Microstation and Microsoft Offices is
mandatory. A good understanding of GPS handling and data processing and data
presentation is mandatory. Must have interest in on-line digitizing.
Knowledge of Programming and ability to launch Maps on internet using Arc
IMS is an added advantages.
Qualities: must be a team player, work under pressure, possess
leadership quality, diligent and honest.
3 IT Professionals MG0007Qualification: The right candidates must possess a BSc in computer
science with a minimum of second class lower.
Duties: The candidate must be able to carry out networking of many
computers, design website, develop and manage databases. The candidate must
be able to write software and good knowledge of ODBC and SQL is very
important. He/She must be very familiar with maps and coordinate
systems.
Qualities: Must be diligent, hardworking and be ready to train and
install both hardware and software in any part of the country.
4. Protocol Officer MG0008 : Qualification: The right candidates must possess not less than
OND/HND in any Social Science with a minimum of Lower Credit.
Duties: The right candidate will handle all the protocol duties of
the company.
Qualities: must be punctual, hardworking, diligent humble and
honest.
Secretary/Receptionist MG0009 : Qualification: The right candidates must possess not less
thanOND/HND in Secretarial Studies with a minimum of Lower Credit.
Duties: The right candidate will handle all correspondence, mails
and also type document. A good knowledge of computer and Microsoft
Offices is mandatory.
Qualities: must be fluent in oral communication, smart, hardworking,
diligent, discipline, humble and honest
6. Driver MG0010 Must possess WASC and drivers’ licence. Must be a careful person and
must not have record of crime or careless driving before.
Office Boy MG 0011 Must possess WASC and be honest and punctual. He/She must be ready to
keep the office tidy before 8am from Monday to Friday.
