Global Career Company (GCC) is the leading international recruitment consultancy focused on the emerging markets of Africa, Asia and Russia CIS. GCC offers an exciting Internship Programme aimed at offering practical work experience to candidates interested in a career in international recruitment. This programme is designed for undergraduates undertaking a sandwich course in the UK and successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in our exciting and international business.

 

Specifics:

·         As led by the Sourcing team, communicate with relevant institutions, associations and individuals to assist promotion of the range of initiatives offered by GCC and manage the associated database.

·         Assume responsibility for the management and recruitment process of GCC's established European Campus Ambassador Program.

·         Support the Sourcing Managers with candidate attraction and marketing activities both on and off campus.

·         Perform database searches on GCC Supplier databases e.g. Homecoming Revolution, Career Junction, Monster etc and liaise directly with candidates.

·         Support the GCC team in the event management processes through the year.

 

Essential Criteria:

·         Undergraduate in your penultimate year of study

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills

·         Displays initiative and has a 'can do' attitude

·         Good planning, organisational and team working skills

·         Experience of working within a team environment on campus, illustrated through participation in clubs, societies, students union and sporting groups.

 

The ideal candidate will be studying towards a Business related undergraduate degree (with an interest in Marketing, Advertising or HR). In addition, you will require a dynamic, influential and communicative style with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders – including candidates, clients, institutions and service providers. The ability to engage with people from a range of cultural backgrounds and languages in a proactive and sensitive manner is critical. Some exposure to a marketing or recruitment environment is preferred as is the ability to speak an Asian, African or Russian CIS language. This opportunity will equip you with the relevant skills and experience for a career in recruitment within a unique international environment. 

The internship will be offered for the duration of September 2008 – April 2009 (6-7 months).
